Soka Gakkai International Peace Proposal 2009
On January 26, 2009 Soka Gakkai International President Daisaku Ikeda issued his annual peace proposal entitled 'Toward Humanitarian Competition: A New Current in History.'
This proposal questions humanity's abstract love for money, calling for a focus on the real needs of real people and stressing the need to strengthen social safety nets. Nuclear Abolition is also discussed as well as other proposals including creating an UN agency responsible for sustainable energy.
