MURITAI SCHOOL - implementing the Cool Schools Peer Mediation Programme with great success!
In 2011, the Cool Schools Peer Mediation Programme was introduced at Muritai School by Lynn Scott (Cool Schools Trainer). Led by Stu Devenport and his year 6 team, staff and students have been trained in the processes of peer mediation. Two mediators are on duty at any one time in the playground and if children have a problem with another person or need to talk through a relationship breakdown then the mediators are only too happy to help. Their mediation team are very proud of the difference they have made this year at Muritai and the teachers are very proud of their leadership and contribution to their school.
