
Poverty exists in many dimensions, from hunger to the lack of shelter to not knowing how to read. These dimensions, affecting nearly half of the worlds population, seriously limit people resulting in powerlessness and under-representation. Although recent statistics show improvements, poverty and all it entails still persist.
NZ Slum City is a weekend event organised by a bunch of 17 year-old Wellingtonians to provide the opportunity for youth to spend a few hours the way 1 billion slum-dwellers spend a lifetime!
