Studying the resolution of conflicts can help in the home, community, workplace, nation, and in the world. There is an increasing demand in all these arenas for the skills and knowledge achieved through academic study of conflict and conflict resolution. In an increasingly interactive world, you could build a career in conflict resolution or just take a paper or two to assist in your own professional and academic development.
